Haleakala Crater, Maui, Hawaii

Description
The Haleakala Volcano hasn't erupted since mid of the 18th century, so it's relatively safe to walk down there. On the left of this huge panorama (about 70mpx), the clouds entering the crater point to the most rainy spot on earth! On the right the Big Island is visible in the middle of the Pacific ocean. The view up there is just stunning.
This is a 50+ megapixels panorama that works beautifully when printed on acrylic.

Nice panorama! I visited this crater on a trip to Hawaii, but wasn't able to get a shot like that! Voted/Fav.

Have seen this, just like this, after using the Microsoft simulator for many years, flying all around the world. Fly Lear Jets to distant places, the a Kingair locally. Have flown over all the volcano's in HI. MS simulator is photo realistic, with accurate altitudes, once took a photo of A mountain in Big Bear Lake in CA, one from the SIM, from low over the lake, the other from a boat on the Lake, and friends could not tell which one was the real photo.... Some very realistic add on scenery is created for the simulator, and its very good.... The quality of real photos is better, but processed to look the same, only those who do it can tell the difference.
